How to refer a patient to our blood collection centers?

The digital prescription

At Labo Maenhout, you can prepare digital prescriptions for the blood collection center and the mobile blood collection service. To do so, you can use the Labo Maenhout eFORM.

How does it work?

  1. Open your Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  2. Under documents: select the eFORM ‘Labo Maenhout’
  3. Click on ‘Refer...’
  4. Select, for example, ‘Prikcentrum Maenhout Ronse’
  5. Complete the prescription and send the eFORM (electronically)

The request is sent to the central server of Labo Maenhout and is digitally delivered to the blood collection service by the laboratory.

This means that no paper documents need to be provided.

Tip: via ‘Add preset’, you can add ‘presets of frequently used parameters’. This ensures a smoother request procedure

You can, of course, continue to work on paper. In that case, you must deliver the request forms to the patient or directly to the laboratory (via the collection service), clearly indicating that these request forms are intended for the blood collection center.

Making an appointment for blood collection

When creating the eFORM, you can choose to have the patient make the appointment themselves. Once the eFORM has been sent, the patient will receive an invitation by email to make an appointment. If it is a mobile collection, the Labo Maenhout team will contact the patient themselves to make the appointment.

You or your employees can also make the appointment for the patient.

How does it work?

  • Open your medici.be calendar (if your practice uses one) or request a free account at www.afspraakagenda.be.
    • Select ‘Appointments with other healthcare providers’ and search for ‘Prikcentrum Maenhout Ronse’.
  • Select an appointment of your choice.
  • Fill in the patient details:
    • Last name + first name
    • National registration number
    • Address
    • Mobile phone number (this is important so that we can contact the patient personally about the appointment)

You can also make appointments by telephone on 056/60.02.66 or ask our administration team to schedule them (please email all patient details to admin@labomaenhout.be).

Patients can also make an appointment themselves at https://www.prikcentrum.be/en.
