Preparation

When you have blood taken, a good intercession thing is crucial for quality and reliable results. It is important to follow your doctor's instructions.

When the form indicates ‘sober’, you must not eat, drink or smoke 8 hours before the blood collection (a sip of water before taking medication is allowed).

Blood test centre Maenhout opens at 8am so you do not have to be sober for that long. Make an appointment here to reduce waiting times.
